the late O.E. þe, nom. masc. form of the demonstrative pronoun and adj. After c.950, it replaced earlier se (masc.), seo (fem.), þæt (neut.), and probably represents se altered by the þ- form which was used in all the masc. oblique cases (see below). O.E. se is from PIE base *so- "this, that" (cf. Skt. sa , Avestan ha , Gk. ho, he "the," Ir., Gael. so "this"). For the þ- forms, see that . The s- forms were entirely superseded in Eng. by c.1250, excepting dial. survival slightly longer in Kent. O.E. used 10 different words for "the" (see table, below), but did not distinguish "the" from "that." That survived for a time as a definite article before vowels (cf. that one or that other ). Adv. use in the more the merrier, the sooner the better, etc. is a relic of O.E. þy, originally the instrumentive case of the neuter demonstrative þæt (see that ). Masc. Fem. Neut. The Eng"lish\, n. 1. Collectively, the people of England; English people or persons. 2. The language of England or of the English nation, and of their descendants in America, India, and other countries. Note: The English language has been variously divided into periods by different writers. In the division most commonly recognized, the first period dates from about 450 to 1150. This is the period of full inflection, and is called Anglo-Saxon, or, by many recent writers, Old English. The second period dates from about 1150 to 1550 (or, if four periods be recognized, from about 1150 to 1350), and is called Early English, Middle English, or more commonly (as in the usage of this book), Old English. During this period most of the inflections were dropped, and there was a great addition of French words to the language. The third period extends from about 1350 to 1550, and is Middle English. During this period orthography became comparatively fixed. The last period, from about 1550, is called Modern English. 3. A kind of printing type, in size between Pica and Great Primer. See Type . Note: The type called English. 4. (Billiards) A twist or spinning motion given to a ball in striking it that influences the direction it will take after touching a cushion or another ball. The King's, or Queen's , English . See under King .

]] An 'article' is a word that combines with a noun to indicate the type of
reference being made by the noun, and to specify the volume or numerical scope
of that reference. The articles in the English language are the and a (with
variant form an). An article is sometimes called a noun marker, although this is
generally considered to be an archaic
term.[http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/determiners/determiners.htm
Articles, Determiners and Quantifiers]
Articles are traditionally considered to form a separate part of speech. They
can be also thought of as a special kind of adjective, because they combine with
a noun and contribute to the meaning of the noun phrase. Linguists place them in
the category of determiners.
Articles can have various
functions:[http://owl.english.purdue.edu/handouts/esl/eslart.html The Use
and Non-Use of Articles] *A 'definite article' (English the) is used
before singular and plural nouns that refer to a particular member of a group.
::The cat is on the red mat.
*An 'indefinite article' (English a, an) is used before singular nouns that
refer to any member of a group.
::A cat is a mammal.
*A 'partitive article' indicates an indefinite quantity of a mass noun; there is
no partitive article in English, though the words some or any often have that
function.
::French: Voulez-vous'du' café ? ("Would you like 'some' coffee?" or "Do you
:want coffee?")
*A 'zero article' is the absence of an article (e.g. English indefinite plural),
used in some languages in contrast with the presence of one. Linguists
interested in X-bar theory causally link zero articles to nouns lacking a
determiner. [http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6VCH-3SWY7SY-

There are four things to know when starting any diet plan that are easy and fun once you get into your routine. You need to find a plan and stick to it. Dont go off and try multiple plans at the same time, you will become confused and off track with what your initial goal was in the beginning.
First of all lets go through a few diets that dont work and why. Low fat diets are in foods in supermarkets everywhere. These foods have great advertising on them about how fat free or low fat they are, however, they are typically calorie free and will actually put weight on, not take it off. You need calories in your diet for energy throughout the day and your body needs energy in order to lose weight. Everyone needs a certain amount of fat in their diet but we are talking about the good fats, the polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fats are good fats. Saturated fats such as in fast foods, deep fried foods, potato chips, etc. are bad fats.Shop smart and buy nutritious foods.
If you want to diet and be healthy, stay away from the low-carb diets as well. They will deprive you body from the good foods your body needs for a balance. They are too strict and you will usually end up with headaches, you will be irritable and wont be able to sleep well. Good rest is something a person needs not only for daily activities but for weight loss too. The right diet plan will even burn the calories off while your resting, bet you didnt know that did you?
Thinking that starving yourself will take the weight off is not a very smart thought though some people have lost weight by starving themselves but other complications set in their bodies and the weight always comes back. Your body needs a balance of healthy saturated fat free foods, other nutrients such as fruits and veggies for vitamins, and water. Always drink plenty of water. You should eat more frequently during the day with smaller portions and stop eating several hours before bedtime.
You need to think about, if you are not already doing it, a good exercise plan. The body needs to get that cardio up to burn some of the fat. Walking at your lunch break for thirty minutes a day is a good place to start. With a good diet program there should be some type of physical activity that they will recommend for the balance needed to take off the weight and keep it off. If you already have an exercise plan, stay with it and implement a good diet with it.
So, to diet and be healthy-four things to know are:
Start with a good diet plan, (only one), eat right with choice foods, more often during the day. Stop eating several hours before you go to bed.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Exercise with a recommended physical activity from the program.
Get your rest. You will be amazed with the right program you will even be able to burn calories off while resting.
So have fun, eat right, diet and be healthy for life.

You can define it any way you like, but I do have a "real work at home job", and I call it my business. In most instances, when you find something that claims to be a work at home job, more than likely, you are being pointed in the direction of starting your own business. it just takes some work to get going, but you will find out the rewards are great and it's much more satisfying than working for someone else.
It really is easy to get started. I have been working at home for a while now, and I am not going to claim that I am a millionaire, because I am not, not yet anyways. I do hope to get there someday. Here are a few things I learned along the way that may help you get started.
1) Do not expect to get rich overnight, this will not happen unless you win the lottery.
2) If you want to make$1000/day you can, but have realistic expectations, it's not going to happen on your first day.
3) You can find legitimate work at home jobs, you just have to do some research first.
4) Real work at home jobs do exist, but you would make far more money by starting your own online business because then it would not feel like a job.
5) Read, read, and read some more. This is very important. You can never learn to much new information and things are always changing.
6) Do not try to reinvent the wheel. Learn from others what they already know and you will get there much faster. Forums are a great place for help.
7) Your going to need to set goals, without these you are sure to fail.
8) Connecting with others who are doing the same thing as you, this will be very helpful to your new business.
9) Just believe in yourself, and you will succeed. You will quickly overcome your fears when you see that first sale.
10) Do not let others discourage you and tell you that you are wasting your time. They are wrong, or maybe jealous. They fear that you are going to be more successful than they are. And you will be.
You are responsible for your own destiny and only you can control where it will take you in the years to come. You can find real work at home jobs. You may start out thinking it is a job too, but if you like what your doing it hardly seems like work, right? If you are interested then go for it.
