If you're serious about becoming a highly profitable trader then in many ways your best bet is to find a mentor. Only around 5% of people who trade end up making money but if you get a successful trader to teach you everything you need to know, then the odds are stacked in your favour.
The route most people take is to learn the basics of trading, either from a book or from the various websites that provide such information, open a demo account and start playing around with technical indicators until they develop a system that they think might make them money. If they fail to develop a profitable system then they will either quit trading altogether or they will turn to signal providers or automated expert advisors to help them make some money.
The end result is usually a diminished trading account, so a much more efficient option is to find a mentor who can teach you how to trade profitably. This is easier said than done because not many successful traders hang around on forums or chatrooms, for example, but if you can manage to find a profitable trader in the outside world or online, then you should do everything you can to get
them to mentor you, even if you have to pay them for the privilege.
These successful traders could potentially help you to become just as successful as they are. They will teach you all the basics of trading as well as teaching you all about discipline, which is one of the main secrets to success.
Furthermore they may even share with you their profitable trading system(s) which could be absolutely invaluable. Most profitable traders are reluctant to share their systems with other people, but if you actually pay someone to mentor you, then they will gladly share their systems with you.
So if you are still struggling to make any money from trading, then I strongly suggest you spend some time seeking out the most profitable traders and ask them to mentor you. It can take years to learn how to become successful in this industry, particularly if you are trading on your own and with your own money, so you're much better off spending some money paying for a mentorship from a professional trader. As long as you have the required attributes such as discipline, patience and the willingness to succeed, then it could turn out to be the best investment you ever make.
